Ha, it's only just been sold about october last year, its currently empty nothing has been touched a decom is planned but not happening yet .And yes you can get in if you know how.
I have heard it is no longer MOD owned and was sold privately a few years back and has since been turned into a Wine storage. I would love to get down there just to look I'm fascinated with the place
I gather that Andy Quinn no longer works there and the site is closed for a number of years for the removal of huge amounts of asbestos.
The site cannot be opened for civilian visits due to Health and Safety - asbestos - and that it is on a military base. Most photos you have seen were taken by Government (MOD) professional photographers.
In response to Peter Hollyoak - you mentioned that there is a man named andy quinn, the manager, is there anyway of contacting him if I wanted more information on the bunker?
i do believe so,there is a little bit of a museum down there.the man to speak to is called andy quinn,he is the manager there,i think you will contact him at the mod site
