Tunnel Visions

The BBC's Inside Out is broadcast throughout England, it features local events and issues for each region it is broadcast in.

In May 2006 Tessa Dunlop headed underground went on the hunt for art 100 feet below Corsham in Wiltshire in a secret underground bunker.

During Spring Quarry's time time as Bristol Aircraft Companys underground, wartime factory, artist, Olga Lehmann was commissioned to brighten up the worker's canteen.

Using only three colours of paint, which could be found in the aircraft factory, Lehman painted murals depicting various scenes including a day at the race, a pub, tribesmen and a boxing match.

Fascinating. This site should become a tourist venue which I think would be very popular and it would safeguard the future of the murals.

Could Inside Out West do a programme on the late Charles Causley, a much neglected Cornish poet whose home in Launceston is under threat?
